Palestinian born and raised in Jordan Sara Aqel, found her passion for cooking early in life. She pursued culinary studies at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and Les Roches, earning a prestigious internship at The Hong Kong Jockey Club. After graduating, she returned to Jordan to begin her professional journey.

She now leads Dara Dining by Sara Aqel in Amman, a Mediterranean-Italian restaurant focused on community, sustainability, and showcasing Jordan’s finest local ingredients. The concept reflects her commitment to regional culture and responsible sourcing.

Before launching her own venture, Sara worked at renowned restaurants across the Middle East, including La Capitale, Al Muntaha, and Torno Subito with Michelin-starred Chef Massimo Bottura. These experiences shaped her Italian cooking style and strengthened her culinary identity.

Her work has earned her several awards, including Caterer Magazine’s Head Chef of the Year (2021), a spot on their 30 under 30 and 50 most influential lists, recognition by La Liste 1000 in 2022, and Cosmopolitan ME’s Arab Woman of the Year in F&B.
