Stéphane Buron is a distinguished French chef renowned for his dedication to culinary excellence.

Born on December 4, 1964, in Limoges, France, his gastronomic journey began with an apprenticeship at Hôtel Bragard in Gérardmer from 1981 to 1983, where he earned his CAP in cuisine. He then honed his skills at esteemed establishments such as Le Relais in Mougins, both in France & its Palm Beach, Florida location, & served at La Palme d’Or in Hôtel Martinez, Cannes. Notably, in 1986, Buron fulfilled his military service as a chef at the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the French President.

In 1987, Buron joined Le Chabichou in Courchevel as chef de partie garde-manger. Demonstrating exceptional culinary prowess, he ascended to head chef by 1996, a position he has held since. Under his leadership, Le Chabichou has maintained its reputation for premium ingredients prepared with finesse, offering a set menu that highlights regional produce, complemented by a selection of fine mountain cheeses.

His dedication has earned him numerous accolades. In 2002, he won the prestigious Prix Culinaire International Pierre Taittinger. Two years later, he achieved the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) in 2004, a distinguished honor recognizing his exceptional skills. Further cementing his status, he received the Trophée Gault&Millau d'Or in 2018.
